New Territories - Bluff Head Excursion
A high speed boat ride from Wong Shek pier along the Tolo Channel kick started this difficult hike in Dec 2009. After being dropped off at Bluff Head and clambering over rocks, we finally reached the path to start the climb to the headland. From there, in hot sunshine, we navigated the various paths and hills until we came to Wu Kau Tang, before taking taxis to Tai Po.
This was a fairly exhausting hike. There was virtually no respite from the blazing hot sun, which meant sun block and plenty of water was a must. The speed boat ride at the start was fantastic. If this hike interests you, contact Roz`s Hiking Group for more information.
