Lantau Island - Ngong Ping to Tai-O
Ngong Ping to Tai-O is stages 4,5 & 6 of the Lantau Trail and covers about 14km. This hike was completed on a windy, freezing cold day in Dec 2009 and is a pretty easy stroll with one or two moderate climbs.
The views are stunning even on a misty day as the path winds its way around the mountains, before finally finishing at the popular tourist spot of Tai-O. To start this hike catch the bus or cable car to Ngong Ping and then walk back along the road before joining the Lantau Trail at the sign post.
