New Territories - Ma On Shan & The Hunch Backs
This hike was completed on a warm day in December 2010 and started from Sai Kung bus terminus. The hike starts on the Maclehose Stage 4, all the way up to Ma On Shan. With a peak of 702 metres (2,303 ft), it stands among the ten highest mountains in Hong Kong. The Hunch Backs is a detour off the main trail. At 674m, The Hunch Backs (or Ngau Ngak Shan) is the ninth highest hill in Hong Kong. The downhill route we took was tricky, with many areas including a climbing rope.
