Lantau Island - Mui Wo to Sunset Peak
Sunset Peak or Tai Tung Shan is the third highest peak in Hong Kong. It is situated on Lantau Island within Lantau South Country Park and Lantau North Country Park and stands at a height of 869m above the sea level. Lantau Peak is close by and is the highest.
This was a hike I did in Dec 2011 on a sunny, but sometimes, slightly cool day. We started from Mui Wo ferry pier and walked to the start of the trail. After climbling and ascending Sunset Peak, we continued on to Lantau Peak.
