"Hiking Trail" in "Shek Pik to Lantau Peak" Gallery View Gallery View Slideshow Lantau Island - Shek Pik to Lantau Peak This hike in Dec 2009 saw me hike from Shek Pik to Lantau Peak, along the Dog`s Middle Tooth. Starting at Shek Pik, we navigated a few minor hills before switching to rock climbing mode before finally arriving at Lantau Peak.

The weather was very sunny to start, but later got overcast and a little chilly. The climbing wasn`t as difficult as some of the pictures might suggest, but it wouldn`t be recommended for anyone who suffers from vertigo.

To start this hike, catch the ferry to Mui Wo and then the bus to Po Lin, alighting at the stop by the Shek Pik Reservoir. The trail starts a few paces back. Or contact Roz`s Hiking Group for more information. For more info about Roz`s Hiking Group, click here.
