"Coastal View" in "Shek Pik to Tai-O" Gallery View Gallery View Slideshow Lantau Island - Shek Pik to Tai-O This was my first hike with Roz`s Hiking Group in 2010. A rather hot and sunny day saw us follow the coast of Lantau to the picturesque fishing village of Tai O.

This fairly easy walk took us via some nice beaches and Fan Lau Fort, an old fort dating back to 1729 and the Qing Dynasty.

To start this hike, catch the ferry to Lantau Island and then any bus that goes via Shek Pik Reservoir. Get off just after the reservoir and walk up the path, turning left after the toilets. Then follow the signs. For more info about Roz`s Hiking Group, click here.
